Maximilian Neukäufler is a lifelong student of blades, distant cultures, and ancient skills. Raised in the Austrian Alps, he grew up crafting bows and arrows, fishing, and roaming the forests—an upbringing that shaped his passion for wilderness living and functional design.
Driven by curiosity and a love for hands-on learning, Maximilian has lived and traveled across Japan, Canada, and Europe, studying and teaching wilderness skills, spoon carving, and martial arts. He has served as an instructor in Japanese, Filipino, and Brazilian martial arts, and has guided canoe and hunting expeditions across the wilds of Canada.
With a background in biology and videography, Maximilian brings a unique perspective to his work—blending science, craftsmanship, and storytelling. His approach to design is rooted in the belief that functional lines create beauty, and that the elegance of purposeful simplicity and humble imperfection will always resonate.
